At The Rhema House, we strive to be different. We were founded on Christ-centered principles, and while we are an assisted living facility, we focus on feeling more like a home, rather than an institution.
Our staff does everything possible to ensure our residents feel comfortable while doing their daily activities, including using the restroom, getting dressed for the day and bathing. Other activities we offer include small group events like board games, watching movies, pajama parties and other social activities. We help you form meaningful friendships with other residents, as well as with our staff.
Our home has a meaningful history in Pensacola as it was once a Foster Home for Children and now we continue its legacy as a blessing to our Seniors.
The Rhema House: The Name Says it All
“Rhema” means “The spoken Word of God.” Many had predicted our founder, Carolyn Martin, would someday start a healthcare facility that would help others and make them feel at home. Ultimately, their predictions came true. Through a series of events, God clearly called Carolyn to bring her assisted living facility into existence. And because of that calling, “The Rhema House” was formed.
The God who gives the vision makes the Provision.
With our Christ-centered mindset, our residents enjoy care that is gentle and diligent. Everyone on our staff feels spiritually called to serve our residents, and following Christ’s plan is at the heart of everything we do. At the Rhema House, we are honored that God put us in the position to assist those who stay with us and to make their lives more fruitful.
